Why she's called Ashley
Ashley started with a conversation in November 2020. A group of women, friends and family of the people who run this company, comparing notes on walking home: the keys between the fingers, the phone call that was really about being heard, the route that added ten minutes because it was lit. Everyone had a story. Nobody had anything in their bag that would actually help.
We looked at what was out there and found very little that a woman would choose to carry every day. So we designed our own, in the UK, and named her after a dear friend: someone we looked up to, someone we wanted remembered, and someone who would have hated the numbers on this page as much as we do.

An alarm only works if it is on you, so Ashley had to be something you would choose to clip to your keys every day: a slim, soft-touch silicone body, colours you would pick for a bag, and a solid metal keychain that will not bend. Under that, a 130db siren and a 200-lumen LED strobe. Alarm 2 adds a torch and a USB rechargeable battery, so there is nothing to run flat in a drawer.
Our team has spent more than ten years designing and manufacturing products. Every alarm is tested before it ships and covered by a two-year warranty. Over 130,000 women now carry one, and 1,900+ of them have left a verified review.
