Stop fakes

Ashley is copied. Cheap lookalikes turn up on marketplaces and social ads every few weeks. They look similar in a photo and they are not the same thing in your hand.

What you lose with a fake

• The siren. Genuine Ashley alarms are tested at 130db. Copies are usually far quieter, and many fade within minutes.
• The strobe and torch. The 200-lumen LED is the part that blinds an assailant; fakes tend to fit a dim indicator light.
• The battery. Alarm 2 is USB rechargeable with up to 2 years on standby. Fakes ship with unbranded cells that die in a drawer.
• The warranty. Every genuine Ashley carries a two-year warranty and a real person to email. A fake has neither.
• The materials. Our silicone body is phthalate-free and built to live on a set of keys. Copies are usually hard plastic that cracks at the pin.

How to know yours is genuine

• It came from empoweredbyashley.com or our official Amazon UK store. We do not sell through any other marketplace, and we do not run ads that send you elsewhere.
• The Ashley logo is printed on the front of the alarm and on the box.
• The price is £29.95 for Alarm 2 (less in a 3 or 5 pack). A "genuine Ashley" for £8 is not one.
